Guild Character Database: How to be included

Hello everyone,

I have decided to undertake a project to have a database for our characters in the guild.  I think it would be helpful in knowing the who's who of the guild, and for toons in our sister guild on twisting nether. 

The instructions are very simple:

1. Email me at deadpoolmaximus(At)hotmail(Dot)com* or direct message me personally on facebook, either via my personal facebook or the guild's facebook page. 

2. Include any toons you want in the database, you can have as many as you want but you have to list all you want included.  Trying to track down every toon in the guild roster would be too tedious so this is the best way to proceed on this project. 

3. This will be limited to toons only, I do not plan to use real names, However, I do wish to section them off by individuals so if you could please include a toon name you are known by that you want to be your nickname, or a nickname you are known by in the guild.

That's it!! that's all it takes!  Now get those submitted to me!

Guild Meeting Notes for June 16th 2013

06/16/2013  Guild meeting
in attendance:  Wayne Pattee Zxandria, Forsakened, Ladee and Wray for a very short, loud strange period.

 

Our apologies, but due to Father's day activities, the attendance at the meeting was low, but we didn't want to move it yet a 4th time!

 

It has been noticed that when someone asks a question in guild chat that sometimes, no answer is forthcoming. 

Guildies need to help guildies - a question should never go unanswered.  If you don't know the answer then please say so and refer the asker to a search engine, thottbot, wowhead, etc - but please don't ignore the request.

 

Guild bank will contribute the balance of the gold for the Vial of the Sands that is being sold for the benefit of the guild bank.

 

Do we have a foundation for a raid guild?  YES!

 Geared!
 Tank - 2
 DPS -  4
 Heals - 1 (2 more required)

 

Raid nights are tenative for Friday / Saturday.

I would also like to take this time to say that I will be doing alot of work on the site here in the next few weeks, new features that I hope will be helpful to everyone.  One I can say for sure is I will be implementing a database for everyone in the guild to have access to instant links to their battle.net profile for all their toons and alts in the guild.  This will also be implemented for our guild on Twisting Nether <Cashews of Chaos>

Next I will be doing a weekly  (or if the need rises, daily)  written workshops called "Fix my Toon"  where I will try and help those that need it with gear and class help, supplying links to websites and resources all in one package. 




Been networking on twitter quite a bit, and the advice I've been getting is really paying off, my goal is to show that Platinum Sanctum can be a guild thats different from others, to be friendly, helpful, and welcoming for the long term.

The Guild Bank

Everyone,

      I have spent alot of time trying to get the guild bank in order.  I would like to ask one favor if you deposit things like most of us do, can you please take the time to search for the proper tab.  I have even noticed some people put the stuff in different piles that stacks.  This is a huge waste of space, I am doing my best to eliminate any duplicate stacks whenever possible.

    If you're not sure of where an item goes ask me or one of the officers so it can be taken care of properly.  Having to search throughout the bank to find something that should be easy to locate is time consuming and frustrating.  I am sure you all know how it is having your own banks out of order can be a pain in the rear.

I can make most of the stuff on this list with the right materials.  This is a drake you morph into, where you can carry a rider if anyone doesn't know.

At this point the most important thing we still need is the 8 items below.  If you care to donate money it would help us get this stuff...Also the Volatiles which are up to date we still need several of.

1 Pyrium Crystaline Vial...Purchased from Yasmin in Uldum for 4500 gold
8 Sands of Time...Purchased from Yasmin in Uldum for 2700 gold each.  have 1 so far.

If you have extra items you don't want to sell at the AH and are willing to donate I have been doing this myself to get the funds for the items we still need.  I have almost 900 gold just from odds and ends I've donated.  Would really apreciate some help in this endevor however.

The mats are all taken care of now with the exception of the stuff that needs to be purchased in Uldum.  One member donated enough to pay for almost one.    So now we are in need of 7 Sands of Time at 2700 gold each , and the Pyrium Crystaline Laced Vial 4500 gold.

If you want to contribute to the guild Drake which is going to be sold at the AH please send the mats or money to Yakittiyak or Ripkken and state in the message that it's for the guild Drake.

I think I am the first one in the guild to dig this recipe up, so I am more than willing to make any of you a personal one if you provide the Materials.  Look forward to helping out the guild.

May 2013 Guild Meeting 

Sorry this is so late, i had to work the next two days after the meeting :) so now here i am on my day off and will get to it! :)

This month's guild meeting was held as a open meeting, a way for everyone to air out what they think is best for the guild, which brought on great conversation :)  

*Where do you see the guild in a year? 

This was the question of the night, which brought up some Long Term Goals for the guild

*Raid again

*Start doing Challanges

*Start working as a guild again

As a guild we can start recruiting, if we can get more people in our guild, it may bring up guild activity again!

Always remeber that if you make plans to join a guild even please try to make it! (we do know that unexpected things happen and you may not be able to make all events, just maybe give someone a heads up!)

*Also remeber to be respectful when running other guildie's runs/activities!
