Changes to Cowabungaa (Discos druid)
Started off with dropping balance and picking up a second restoration. Did this
because while setting up my first restoration I seen there was a few differ things
things I was wanting to try out.. Will be explaining that now.
Restoration Primary
Talents
Feline Swiftness- Increases your movement speed by 15%
Did this one because would rather have the 15% movement speed at all times.
Cenarion Ward- Protects a friendly target, causing any damage taken to heal
the target for 10,294 every 2 seconds for 6 seconds.
picked this one because I like the health over time effects and it heals for 30k over 6
seconds.
Typhoon- boooom! pushes the targets back and dazing them for 6 seconds.
Well really... what healer don't have the moment when they are like grrrr
what is this tank doing! get the adds off me!.. well I had many times like that
mostly in pugs.. so Typhoon.. you're my best friend (:
Incarnation- Well, this one does many differ things.. but where i am restoration
will just name that one.. It's simple enough.. Makes the druid into a tree.. When
in Tree of Life all healing done increases healing done by 15%, increases armor by
120% and enhances Lifebloom, Wild Growth, Regrowth, and Entangling Roots spellcasts.
The tree form has always been a big buff and helped druids.. The 15% boost to heals
and the spell cast times both helps a lot but it drains the mana fast. But that is where
Innervate comes handy.
Ursol's Vortex- Conjures vortex of wind at the destination location that reduces the
movement speed of all enemies within 8 yards for 50&. The first time an enemy attempts to
leave the vortex, winds will pull that enemy back to its center. Last for 10 seconds.
Ursol's vortex is another one of the 'why tank why!' moments..
Spell Changes and New Rotations
1. Cenarion Ward - Protects a friendly target, causing any damage taken to heal
the target for 10,294 every 2 seconds for 6 seconds.
2. Rejuvenation - Heals the Target for 7.185 and an additional 7.185 every 2.72 sec for 10.87
(changes with haste)
3. Lifebloom - (just gonna explain in my own words) Gives a HoT (HoT - heal over time) that
stacks 3 times on the target. When in tree of life, it can be used on everyone you see. By
clicking on them and using it :P can also be refreshed when healed with nourish, healing touch,
and regrowth
4. Swiftmend - a instant heal on a target that has a active with Rejuvenation or Regrowth. When
it is used it will place a green ring under the target that heals 3 most injured players
5. Nourish - main heal when low on mana or trying to save mana
6. Healing Touch- big heals.. slow cast so but big bang
7. Regrowth- Fast heal, big mana. Also gives a HoT effect.
8. Wild Growth- A AoE heal that also has a HoT buff
9. Wild Mushroom- This is one of the spells that changed for a druid. As a restoration druid
when you make the mushroom explode it heals the friendly targets in the area.
0. Tree of life- turns into a tree and 15% more heals and armor buff with spell cast times on
healing spells go down.
-. Barkskin- lowers all damage on you by 20%
=. Tranquility- heals 5 of the most injured friendlies and gives a HoT
Other spells i use.. ironbark, nature's cure, Typhoon, Ursol's Vortex.
Travel Form.. also changed.. you are now a Elk type looking thing.. that can be mounted with
a glyph..
Oh yeah glyphs....
Major Glyphs
Glyph of Healing Touch
When you cast healing touch, the cooldown on your swiftmend is reduced by 1 sec.
Glyph of Lifebloom
Casting lifebloom on a new target grants that target as many applications as the old target had.
This effect will not occur while in Tree of Life Form, or when Lifebloom has less then 2 seconds
remaining.
Glyph of Rejuvenation
When you have Rejuvenation active on three or more targets, the cast time of your nourish spell
is reduced by 30%
Minor Glyphs
Glyph of Charm Woodland Creature
Allows the druid to befriend an ambient creature, which will follow the druid for 1 hour.
Glyph of the Stag
makes your travel form be able to be mounted.
Don't have a 3rd minor glyph picked yet.
Restoration 2
Talents
Wild Charge- I do non-shapeshifted so it makes me fly to an ally's positions.
Flying hugs ftw.
Cenarion Ward- Protects a friendly target, causing any damage taken to heal
the target for 10,294 every 2 seconds for 6 seconds.
picked this one because I like the health over time effects and it heals for 30k over 6
seconds.
Mass Entanglement- Roots your tartet in place for 20 sec and spreads to additional nearby
enemies. Affects 5 total targets. Damage caused may interrupt the effect.
picked this one because it's a great way to flee or when you have one of those tank moments.
Soul of the Forest- You gain 50% haste for your next spell when you cast swiftment.
Alright.. this is the one i been questioned about.. I picked this one over the tree because of
the glyph of healing touch (When you cast healing touch, the cooldown on your swifmend is
reduced by 1 sec.) Having the haste for the healing touch is a awesome thing to have, it's a
big heal that can do really high crits.
Same rotations as up above only thing that is not there is the tree of life.
Same glyphs as well.
