Funny how things work out.

Hey everyone,

Excuse any problems with this posting, I decided to try posting an post on my phone for the first time using the blogger app, I'll try to fix any mistakes I made later.

I logged on rather late last night, and met one of our new recruits.  They were very nice and forthcoming.  I asked this person did they have any other toons, as she was level 31.  She informed me and the others online that she used to have higher level toons, until an ex, out of spite, deleted all of her toons.  Of course for those of us that heard this, we were shocked to hear this, however, her conveying this story got me to thinking.

Over time, learning most peoples stories, I see a pattern of people coming to join our little guild, they each have a story.  Whether it was simple unfriendliness, or people getting kicked out of their old guild for no reason, to the ultimate sin of either "not being good enough" or "you fail because you suck, not because of the crappy advice we gave you"  everyone seems to have an interesting tale to tell.

I find more and more that most of the people we bring into the family have some kind of incident from the past that causes them to seek out a guild like ours, patient people that try to help to the best of our abilities.  I am glad we can make the game more enjoyable for people, and give them a home when no one else would have them.

I hope that we can continue to help build people up, and be the gold (platinum?) Standard for those that seek it.  I see people grow more comfortable in their roles as time goes on, and while a hand out will get someone by for a day, a leg up pushes them farther towards their own goal, whatever that may be.  I will always try to give that leg up if I can, and I believe the guild will as well.
