For Understanding.

Greetings everyone,

First, I want to say that I really appreciate all the well wishes I've had during my recovery, It feels good that a lot people care about your well being.  It's going to be a long road to get back to where I was before I had my injury, but I feel that I am finally on the right track.  I thank you all for your unending support and care during this time.  You are all amazing people that words cannot express how much it means to me to be your Guild leader.

I just wanted to take some time to go over some basic things with the guild, rules, ranks, and how events work.  As most of you know things are pretty straight forward, however a little clarification never hurt anybody, right?

First I will go over the rules, touching on each one and making comments in kind.

1. Be Respectful.  This one is pretty straightforward.  We have people in our guild of differing backgrounds and situations.  Some people have their own pace and structure, so I am not going to be one to want to change someones routine or playstyle.  Be sensitive to others and their situation.

2. Be Helpful.  You'll never find a guild base so willing to help others.  it's a great thing to see.  If you need some armor, or a weapon, or need to get some points for that next tier piece, you'll more than likely find someone willing to help. Just remember, helping is a 2 way street. Don't expect help if you never want to give it.  I will say on a personal note that this is not a problem, as I've found everyone to be extremely helpful in this guild.

3. Any problem can be resolved, COMMUNICATE! I cannot stress the importance of this.  Too many times have I seen guilds fall apart because no one wanted to communicate.  I should also stress that also means communicate "with each other".  I have no problem talking to anyone about problems, it's what I'm here for. However, I'm also not a nanny.  try to deal with any problems you have among yourselves, and if you need me I'll be more than happy to mediate.  I understand that if its an important guild issue that I should be involved, and I will be there for that.  Don't be afraid to speak up if you have a concern, it's the only way we'll ever work through things. I don't want any hard feelings over miscommunication.

4. Have Fun!  this is an easy one.  World of Warcraft is a game, not a job.  We play to have fun with people we enjoy playing with.  Don't take things too seriously, that is when playing becomes a chore and not a pleasure.  I enjoy most facets of this game, and I want to continue to have fun doing them, as I hope you all will as well :D

Now to go over the ranks a bit.

Jester: recruit rank.  one tab privilege. All you have to do to get beyond recruit is stay at least a day with the guild, not too hard.

Page: Second rank.  you get 2 withdrawals from each tab per day.

Squire: Third rank, you get 3 withdrawals per day, plus have guild repair access up to 100 gold.

Templar: Forth rank, you get 4 withdrawals per day, and have access to 300 gold in repairs.

Battlemaster: Fifth rank, you get 100 withdrawals per day, and have access to 500 gold in repair.  This is the rank most officers will have for their alts, and for those that have made great contributions to the guild.

High Conclave: Officers rank.  Basically the council of Platinum Sanctum.  mostly unlimited guild bank access and repair.  to become an officer please note you need an authenticator to even be considered.

Order of Prime: Founders Rank.  This is for the 3 founders, same access as officers.  They just have a special title for being there since the beginning.

Holdmaster: Thats me :D

Now for events!

When we can remember, we post events on the calender.  Note that most event's will occur on the weekend, however sometimes we will do stuff during the week, like Firelands trash runs and the like.  We do like to make runs for the Bronze drake in Culling of Stratholme  on Saturdays.  Note that the calender may say a certain time, but I believe this can be an all day event as long as people are not locked out of the instance.  It's a fun way to get a free dragon, at least.

Also note we do like to do Obsidium Sanctum on Sunday evenings.  This is something we try to keep a schedule for, as it is a raid and requires people to be available to do.  It's a free roll and we'll do it til everyone has one.  We did our first successful run last Sunday and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

As far as raiding is concerned, we have a "casual only" stance on it.  I wouldn't mind doing some raids, as the one we attempted this past week was alot of fun, but that was mostly because of the people involved and not taking it all so seriously :)  I want to keep that mentality, as much as it would be nice to down a raid boss for that 3 million extra guild xp, if it means we become way too serious, then I'd rather not do them at all.   But if people want to raid, then we will do so for the fun of it, because as I said earlier, that's what it's all about.

I hope this clarifies things, and once again I want to say that it's been an immense pleasure to be your GM, and seeing this guild grow beyond my wildest imagination.  Thank you all for your support and hard work.  It means the world to me and I truly appreciate it, and all of you.

Thank you.

I tried to find guides that were fairly easy to understand, however if you find one that is more straight forward, please let me know and I will edit this post.  Hope this helps!!!
